Delegation Led by XU Shaokang Pays Visit to Australia & New Zealand Universities


From November 13th to 20th, at the invitation of Victoria University (VU) in Melbourne, Australia and Auckland University of Technology (AUT), a delegation led by HENU vice president XU Shaokang was invited to pay a working visit to the colleges and universities in Australia and New Zealand.

During the visit to Australia, XU Shaokang visited Victoria University (VU) in Melbourne, and was given a warm reception by VU president Peter DAWKINS and vice president Steve BERRIDGE. Both sides reviewed the fruitful cooperation between the two universities, conducted in-depth discussion and signed overseas students training cooperation agreement. The delegation was invited to attend the “Ten Years in a Moment”, the 10th anniversary celebration organized by students of International Education College of HENU in Australia. XU Shaokang gave a speech on behalf on HENU. YANG Zhiyong, consul general of the Chinese Consulate General in Melbourne, Australia, and more than 200 HENU alumni who work and study in Australia attended the ceremony.

During the visit to New Zealand, XU Shaokang visited Auckland University of Technology and University of Auckland. At Auckland University of Technology, the delegation talked with AUT director of international affairs Lester FINCH and director of China affairs center Marlene LU. Both sides conducted in-depth discussion about carrying out joint training of specialized master of computer science and exchange students learning.

During the visit, XU Shaokang visited some of the HENU alumni and communicated with them.
