HENU International College Campus South Gate Donation Ceremony Held

On April 20th, HENU International College Campus South Gate Donation Ceremony was held in Zhengzhou Longzi Lake Campus of HENU. The ceremony was hosted by HENU Chancellor GUAN Aihe. LIU Xiangyang, the donor and the president of HENU Alumni Association in Beijing, and HENU President LOU Yuangong delivered a speech respectively.

LIU Xiangyang donated to HENU for the construction of International College campus south gate and other campus cultural facilities. The campus south gate would be in accordance with the ratio of 1:1.5 of copying HENU Minglun campus south gate, only slightly adjusting in the details.

LOU Yuangong said that copying HENU Minglun campus south gate into HENU International College was aimed at delivering the traditional school motto “to illustrate illustrious virtue, to renovate the people, and to rest in the highest excellence” and hundred years of cultural heritage into the development of the College, making the image of architecture and environment character not only reflect the historical and cultural connotation and characteristics of school-running of HENU, but also has the style characteristics of modernization and internationalization, thus truly becoming the new bright spot of higher education development in Henan Province, and the demonstration project for Sino-foreign cooperative education.

In his speech, LIU Xiangyang thanked for his alma mater, and also thanked for the opportunity to express gratitude. He wanted to work together with HENU students to make contribution to the society.

From 1980 to 1984, LIU Xiangyang studied in HENU School of Chemical Science, and now he is the founder of Orenda Tribe, the chairman of DrayTek Holding Co., Ltd., and director of HENU Alumni Association in Beijing. He has long been enthusiastic in public welfare undertakings, reflecting a high degree of social responsibility through continuous donations.
