HENU Holds Mid-Autumn Festival Ceremony for International Students

September 27th was the Mid-Autumn Festival, and opening ceremony for 2015 overseas students and Mid-Autumn Festival gala was held in Henan University. HENU executive vice president ZHAO Guoxiang and 130 students of 2015 from 31 countries participated in the ceremony.

Zhao Guoxiang expressed his welcome to the students, encouraged the international students to exchange their brilliant ideas on learning and help each other in their daily life, and gave them his best wishes that they would enhance the friendship between different cultures and promote the international communication of Henan University.

As the representative of teachers, GUO Run expressed his excitement for this festival get-together with international students. As the representative of higher grades, GU An from Equatorial Guinea expressed a warm welcome and expectation for the new schoolmates that the new students would bring vitality and enthusiasm to our university. As the representative of the new students, Aguri from The Kyrgyz Republic expressed the determination to work hard on future learning. 

After the Ceremony, teachers gave their well-prepared Mid-Autumn Festival gifts, moon cakes and apples to students with their best wishes.

In the following Mid-Autumn Festival Folk Music Gala, guzheng, cucurbit flute, erhu, suona and other folk music performances had the audience immersed in beautiful melody.

In the end, leaders present led the students to visit calligraphy and painting exhibition of the HENU School of the Arts, and famous artist of fine arts PENG Xichun gave a live painting demonstration and created Fragrance, and calligrapher CHI Xianping inscribed Blooming Flowers & Full Moon in Oracle Bone Inscription, celebrating the festival and welcoming the international students.
